Our Information Technology departments are currently seeking multiple IT Developer Interns. These roles are responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting applications for the corporate portals, among other duties. These positions are based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.
Many departments at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio, offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role and responsibilities, hybrid or remote options may be available for those working at headquarters.

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr+ based on previous education and experience

• learning about various business departments and IT service areas
• signing up for optional learning development tracks
• participating in insurance-related class(es)
• interacting with associates and management
• participating in group and individual research projects as assigned
**Internship/Co-op work location: Remote available for non-location critical roles.
Location critical roles must have a presence on-site.**
Be equipped with (depending on your area of interest):
• understanding of front-end/back-end or full-stack development concepts
• knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML/XSLT, and object-oriented programming concepts
• data analytics knowledge, metadata management, knowledge in data visualization (Power BI, SAS), SQL, Database Management, MS Excel Analytics
• experience or familiarity with tools such as .NET, JQuery, Angular, MVC, Xamarin, iOS SDK, Android SDK, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, Android Studio, XCode etc.
• prior experience in software development through past internships, independent or class projects, and coursework/self-study
• ability to research, and understand and author technical documentation, and to utilize available resources to resolve technical problems
• good communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audience and give professional presentations
• ability to interact effectively with management and colleagues to prioritize and organize work
• willingness to continually learn new technologies, skills, and improved processes
• awareness of current and emerging technology trends
• reliable and service-oriented mindset
• some familiarity with Agile concepts
Candidates should have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time.
Our company is currently not hiring interns for this role if they will need sponsorship in the future.
Requirements:
• enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student at an accredited college/university
• all majors are welcome to apply
• collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
• in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
• must be able to work an average of 20+ hours per week
• proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software
• able to communicate effectively at all levels
